An easy way to get started with an online business is with Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is pretty simple but when you are first starting out, you need to work hard at it to succeed. In this post I am going to give you 6 basic steps to getting started. You must follow these steps to get the desired success you want. If you don’t follow these steps you probably won’t be as successful as you would like to be.
1. Choose your Market- Who do you want to sell to?
2. Choose your Product- What products do you think your Market will be interested in?
3. Build an Autoresponder Series-Choose an autoresponder that has how to instructions. Most times the product you are going to be marketing comes with pre-written emails and articles you can use. Just add a personal touch to them.
4. Build a Page to Capture Emails You will want to have a sign-up page so that you will start to build a list for your autoresponder. Offering a free report or an ebook or product is a good way to get people to sign-up.
5. Use techniques to attract traffic- Wether you want to post to forums or blogs or use article marketing, you will need to do something to get the word out about your site.
6. Now You Can Start Finding Other Products to Market that relate or complement the product you already have.
In order to gain good results with your online business, you need to start with a product that is in demand. Build your web site with the purpose of displaying your product. Find a way to capture email addresses to build your list. Once you start building a good list you will be able to then offer the products to them. By this time you should start to see a good reliable income being generated by your business.

I am talking about SPAM!!!!!
This post is going to be more on a personal note. Recently I joined a mailing list with someone who has been helping me a lot. The next thing I know I am receiving like 5 emails a day from this guy. Not only that but all of the people he has JV’s with are sending me stuff too. If you are seeing this (You know who you are) STOP!!!!
Personally, I think this is a little overkill. I have to tell you that Jim Edwards is not one of these people who are doing this. I like to hear about new products out there, but I don’t need 10 different emails telling me exactly the same thing!!!
I am seriously thinking about un-subscribing with this guy, even though he has great info and stuff. So, if you are one of these people using these practices, you might want to reconsider.
I would hate to lose people off my lists because I am bombarding them with emails!!!!!
If you are writing articles, emails, and newsletters to market your business, consider using a fresh unique approach. If you want to get the attention of your prospects please don’t send them the same headlines everyone else is using, you are just wasting your time and theirs.
It only takes a few minutes of your time to check the emails, newsletters, etc.. that you are loading into your autoresponder. This will go a long ways towards building trust and credibility with your prospects. Probably getting you a few more sales in the future.
The Autoresponder I use has a great spam checker: click here to check it out!

Here are some of the things that you can do to have a great article. The article will be easier to read, if it is short and gets to the point quickly. You want it to be long enough that it gives valuable information to your reader without losing their attention. An article should be around 600 words or so. Be well informed of the subject that you are writing about, if you’re not, your readers will know! Write your article so it is easy to understand.
Here are some questions you need to ask yourself before penning your article.
Who do you think is going to be reading your article? Who is your audience going to be? If it will be professionals than you would want to use professional language, but if it is just going to be your average Joe than you might want to bring it down a notch or two.
One technique you could use when writing is to ask a question and then answer with a solution to the problem at hand. If your article is about ‘headache remedies’ for example, you might ask the question “what caused the headache?”. Depending on the answer, you could then present a solution to relieving the headache.
If you wanted to establish a more personal rapport with your readers, let them in on tips that cause them to take an action or a tip that would cause them not to act.
Really important! Watch for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. Take a few extra minutes to Spell-Check, it will be well worth the extra time in the long-run. Not to take the care with the writing of your article could present an image of you as unprofessional and would lessen your credibility.
Don’t use a bad title! One of the first things your readers will see, when they visit your site, is the title, and if its not a good one you could end up with nobody reading your article.
It’s pretty easy to write an article as long as you use a few basic rules of thumb. Happy writing!

Writing and publishing articles is among one of the most effective ways to getting visitors to your site, out of the many different tools used to attract traffic. Having more visitors to your site also generates more sales and therefore online earnings.
So why is writing and publishing articles so powerful in driving visitors to your site?
Articles can help you become known as an expert in your niche market. You will become known as an expert by writing valuable and informative articles. As an expert, you will build trust and confidence in your prospects. Customers will feel confident when they purchase from you, thus making your sales grow and online business profits increase.
Articles are a cost-effective way of attracting traffic to your site.
You can write your own articles, unless you are not comfortable with writing, you can hire a ghostwriter. Hiring someone else to write articles for you is not very costly. Then you can start submitting your articles to directories. There are tools available that you can use to automatically submit your articles to directories, and this will make the number of links pointing back to your site increase.
Using quality articles will bring life long results and will continuously bring visitors to your site. Unlike other types of advertising that bring results that don’t last, articles will continue to drive traffic to your site for a long time. Your articles are kept in article directories for a long time, and that means anyone can still read them and visit your site. Your articles can generate hundreds of links to your website.
Although there are many tools available for attracting visitors to a site, articles remain the most powerful tool that brings life long results.
